These pictures look like they were taken in Israel/Palenstine… and although art speaks for itself in many cases it might be important to note that, since there seems to be a theme. of freedom from oppression, or enclosure in these beautiful wall paintings…

These pictures are on the wall but I think they aren’t trying to say the “Palestinian” people are oppressed. They are but from their own government that uses the money they get form the UN for terrorism and leaves their people starving. I think these pictures show more the desire for the ideal situation, the desire for peace on the side of Israeli’s. All these pictures are on Israel’s side by the way, not the “Palestinians” who do not want peace as a majority. The reason I quote the term “Palestinians” is because there is actually no Palestinians because the people living in that region are not Palestinians. Let me explain, Palestine comes form the word “Phillistine”. The Phillistine’s were Greek. Rome conquered “Palestine” from the Phillistine’s and the Phillistinian people dissapeared. That was in 333 BCE. But way WAY before that, guess who had Israel, the Jewish people. That was in 1300 BCE, 1000 years before. Israel belonged to the Jewish people before it belonged to the Phillistines. The Phillistine people dissapeared when Israel was conquered by the Romans. There is no Palestinian people today. You have been lied to by CNN.

Sorry miri your logic is flawed, how can a people who live in an area ‘not exist’. To say that the Palestinian government funds Hamas is kinda stupid when you look at what the US govenment gives Israel in ‘defense’ is obscene. Over 3 billion in military funding last year. If somebody arrived, occupied and demanded that the country was theirs most people would be pretty miffed. Banksys art has always attacked the establishment, the hegemony and ideology of the powerful, look at the images, flowers, children, happiness, everything that the wall seeks to oppress, of course its on the ISRAELI side…duh
using wikipedia as a source of ‘real’ information only serves to compound your flawed rethoric and biased fact finding
