The world’s longest bench will be decorated by a group of artists in Moscow before being auctioned to fund creativity centers for Russian orphans.
The 302-meter bench, long enough for 1,500 people to sit on at one time, will be made up of 151 segments and set up by the State Tretyakov Gallery, in central Moscow, on June 29. Some 150 artists will take part in painting the huge seat. In early July, it will be dismantled and made into 100 separate park benches to be placed in public areas around Moscow.
