Awesome! But how can you bring yourself to destroy something so beautiful by drinking it? I’d have to have a regular cup’o'joe on the side :(

Actually, by the time you finish decorating the cappuccino, it will be cold.
Aside of the one hart and the triple one, which are easy and really quick to make, all others are useless and time wasting, even if cute and clever.

So the final question is: do you want a cute but cold cappuccino or a not so cute but a good one?

  24. gerry | October 25th, 2007 at 7:31 pm

  25. littlemermaid85 | October 26th, 2007 at 4:58 am

Hey, how many cups of coffee do you think this person had to drink before they could get this inspired? Just checking, so I can know what I should be aspiring to in the morning. I actually thought this was very cool

I knew of this very nerdy gut who ran an espresso stand who so impressed an absolutely drop dead costumer with his foam bending prowess they ended up getting married. A sad story. They made average kids, neither beautiful, nor smart.

number 2 and 3 are awesome!
how do they do this stuff?

  32. Brittani | November 6th, 2007 at 4:03 am

I can tell that some of these are photoshopped..at the very least the one with the bear…second or third one…smudge is such an amazing tool eh

  33. Dane | November 6th, 2007 at 10:24 am

Most of these are etching anyway. the cool stuff is when you can do art actually from the pour itself. this is because after you’re done etching the drink is usually too cold to drink anyway and while you may have made some piece of art in the end it’s worthless because you can’t serve it to anyone.

That coffee may look good is not profound
But do we praise the form and rue the taste
And dribble out of mouth and onto ground?
So should we then regret this pointless waste?
Or simply hold that this amount of beauty
No matter what, is such a holy grace?
For few things more desired, I would know
Than coffee, through which my blood does flow

This sure ain’t Christian, I’ll tell ya’ that much. This scares me. Strange faces just appearing from the dark depths of a coffee mug, smells like satan brewin’ up a cup of demonic injustice to me. If any of these just mysteriously appeared in my mug I would poop on myself for sure. I’m so scared.

  53. Westie | November 30th, 2007 at 5:21 am

Art? I dunno. Certainly creative but I’m not sure it’s art. Some are very rough creations. But what else would you call the collection of photos on a website? I’m surprised that no-one has mentioned the large amount of drizzled chocolate syrup on many of them. Personally I think that real coffee art stops the moment that you introduce anything else to the coffee. I’ve always hated cafes’ that think they’re clever by producing art that adds unasked-for chocolate flavour into your perfectly good coffee.

It is so easy to do, only takes a few seconds more to do so, and can make a person very special. Just most cafes, I go to, do not take the time to do so. After all paying $3, $4, or $5 dollars for a cup of nice coffee.
